Philly Gives is a philanthropic initiative launched by the Philadelphia Foundation, supported by a grant from the William Penn Foundation and in partnership with the Lenfest Institute for Journalism. Modeled on successful community-based media funds, Philly Gives spotlights and supports the nonprofit organizations that are essential to the well-being of Greater Philadelphia, while fostering a culture of giving that unites individuals, businesses, and foundations around common goals.
This year’s nonprofit grantees were chosen for their commitment to creating an equitable Philadelphia through their focus addressing urgent community needs through housing, food access, healthcare, youth development, and workforce support.
Yes, your donation is tax deductible in the United States. You will receive an email receipt from Philadelphia Foundation immediately after you submit your donation through Phillygives.org.
Philadelphia Foundation has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a not-for-profit public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
At this time, we are not able to accept donations by check. However, you may contribute through a donor-advised fund, stocks, cryptocurrency, private company stock, wire transfer, or IRA rollover contribution. Click here to give through one of these methods. Donations for the 2025 Philly Gives campaign will be accepted through 11:59 pm on December 31, 2025.
Credit card donations have a suggested minimum of $100, but gifts of any amount starting at $5 are welcome.
Yes, please see recognition details in the donation payment form. You may list yourself as a contributor or make a contribution in honor or memory of someone.

The Philly Gives campaign runs from November 1 through December 31, we are only accepting one-time donations at this time. Please consider making a single gift to support this year’s participating nonprofits and help us reach our campaign goal.

Every dollar donated to Philly Gives goes directly to the participating nonprofit organizations featured in this year’s campaign.
